Over the last year or so, we have seen that there is a great need for specialists who understand the economy and the industry of finance in general. The current state of the financial industry both in the United States and worldwide is pathetic—the entire industry has been in a state of freefall or confusion over the past year. This terribly condition can be attributed, in part, to a severe lack of comprehension amongst employees in the financial industry about how the industry work. Those who actually know what they are doing are in short supple. It would behoove both the economy and the financial industry to at least having more of them.

Most Americans only know enough about finance or the economy to be aware of what the bad and good signs are (i.e., plummeting stock market is bad, rising employment numbers is good). As a whole, though, they haven’t the slightest idea how to procure those all-important figures numbers or translate what they actually indicate. There are so many variables involved in the economy, including a number of variables that simply cannot be taught—they must be felt or intuited. No one can teach you these skills, not even in the best of business schools in the world.
